The third and final novel of my sci-fi trilogy is published today.
As I do the ongoing work to expand my catalog, the third and final novel of my new sci-fi/sci-fantasy trilogy, Savagespace is published today.
Savagespace
As murderous anti-life forces emerge from savagespace threatening the galaxy…
The motley crew of the starship Moon Raven – refugee humans, dwarfs, a kitsune, and a half-elf – might be the only hope against an unyielding foe.
For millennia, savagespace and its horrors were relegated to legend and myth.
Unrealspace opened the way for faster-than-light travel across the galaxy. Unlocking the secret of folding space/time promises instantaneous travel across vast distances. But this comes with a terrible price.
As the people of the universe roll the dice, will they get a critical hit or a critical fail?
Savagespace is a Science-Fiction Fantasy series blending space opera and D&D-style adventures for fans of Star Wars, Dragonlance, and Independence Day.
The final book – Challengers and Survivors (Savagespace Book Three)
The blurb:
Will the universe make its saving throw?
Captain Darius Noble and the crew of the Moon Raven are in the center of the efforts to stop the destruction being wrought by the creatures from savagespace.
As they coordinate the assembly of the Great Hunt, ancient foes ally to find and meet the mindflayers. The interlopers grow stronger and harder to stop with each battle. The race to salvation or obliteration is too close to call.
Can Darius and his motley crew of misfits convince races that have never banded together to fight side-by-side and save the galaxy? Read the epic conclusion of the Savagespace Trilogy, Challengers and Survivors, to find out!
I’m loving this new trilogy. It leans heavily into sci-fantasy, since the aliens are familiar fantasy creatures like drow, kitsune, goblins, and so on.
Book three brings all the elements together to conclude this story arc. There is, however, an idea in the back of my head to revisit this galaxy down the line.
Savagespace is full of monsters
As I wrote when I shared the publications of Book 1 – Alliances and Consequences and Book 2 – Revelations and Reconciliations – there are monsters in savagespace. They provide the impetus for a great deal of the forward motion in this story.
What exactly is savagespace? To quote one of my characters,
“Savagespace is a dimension of darkness that spawns a form of anti-life. In Savagespace, life is what anti-life feeds on.”
Book One – Alliances and Consequences – is available for eBook, paperback, and audiobook across a wide range of platforms. Amazon options are here, further options like Kobo, Apple Books, Smashwords, and more are here.
Book 2 – Revelations and Reconciliations – is available for eBook, paperback, and audiobook across a wide range of platforms. Amazon options are here, further options like Kobo, Apple Books, Smashwords, and more are here.
Book 3 – Challengers and Survivors – is available for eBook, paperback, and audiobook across a wide range of platforms. Amazon options are here, further options like Kobo, Apple Books, Smashwords, and more are here.
Another book is always on the horizon
As of this writing, I’m about to move to a new home and set up a new office. Once that’s done, I’ll start editing my standalone sci-fi comedy novel, Jay and Char Save the Galaxy. The plan is to publish sometime in late spring/early summer 2025.
I’ve finished the first new book in the Forgotten Fodder series, which you could start from without reading 1-4, but it’s technically Book 5. A short story that takes place between the first and second series is now out in the Crooked Volume 3 anthology (alongside a bunch of other excellent short sci-fi and crime stories). Forgotten Fodder: Proof of Life offers a unique perspective on that universe.
This should come as no surprise, but I have a couple of other ideas at various stages of development. Despite living in a world that appears to have gone ever-so-slightly (or completely) mad, I write on. I will continue using my storytelling gift to produce blogs and books to inspire, empower, and awaken and expand imagination.
Storyteller gonna tell stories. Thanks for reading.
As I share my creative journey with you, I conclude with this: How are you inspired to be your own creator – whatever form that takes?
