As murderous anti-life forces emerge from savagespace threatening the galaxy…
The motley crew of the starship Moon Raven – refugee humans, dwarfs, a kitsune, and a half-elf – might be the only hope against an unyielding foe.
For millennia, savagespace and its horrors were relegated to legend and myth.
Unrealspace opened the way for faster-than-light travel across the galaxy. Unlocking the secret of folding space/time promises instantaneous travel across vast distances. But this comes with a terrible price.
As the people of the universe roll the dice, will they get a critical hit or a critical fail?
Savagespace is a Science-Fiction Fantasy series blending space opera and D&D-style adventures for fans of Star Wars, Dragonlance, and Independence Day.
Savagespace I – Alliances and Consequences
The universe has rolled initiative.
Commander Darius Noble has escaped the overthrow of the Alliance. He carries crucial intel about the drow and Federation’s plans for folding space/time to make war anywhere instantaneously across the galaxy. Lacking resources and pursued by bounty hunters, Darius and his companions find themselves adrift in a hostile galaxy.
Their paths cross with diverse nonhumans, leading to the formation of an unlikely crew aboard a salvaged starship. As they navigate their personal struggles and limited options, Darius and his crew realize a horrifying truth: The Alliance’s fall is just the beginning. Invaders drawn unintentionally from the mysterious savagespace, who destroy all without mercy, threaten sentient life across the galaxy.
This motley crew of misfits must risk everything to expose the danger and preserve life. Can Darius and his crew outmaneuver their enemies and become the unexpected saviors of the galaxy or will war tear everything asunder?
Savagespace II – Revelations and Reconciliations
The universe has rolled for attack.
In the aftermath of Alliances and Consequences, Captain Darius Noble and the growing crew of the Moon Raven find themselves in the middle of an increasingly precarious interstellar conflict.
When a signal from the Grand Master of the Universal Energies Ontology draws them into a quest on a dead world, the ensuing adventure will either lead them to a way to stop the incursions from savagespace or bring them to their doom.
Darius and his motley crew of misfits must risk everything to protect sentient life across the galaxy. Can they overcome the challenges and save everyone before the mindflayers annihilate everything?

Savagespace III – Challengers and Survivors
Will the universe make its saving throw?
Captain Darius Noble and the crew of the Moon Raven are in the center of the efforts to stop the destruction being wrought by the creatures from savagespace.
As they coordinate the assembly of the Great Hunt, ancient foes ally to find and meet the mindflayers. The interlopers grow stronger and harder to stop with each battle. The race to salvation or obliteration is too close to call.
Can Darius and his motley crew of misfits convince races that have never banded together to fight side-by-side and save the galaxy? Read the epic conclusion of the Savagespace Trilogy, Challengers and Survivors, to find out!
Beyond the cradles
“Savagespace is a dimension of darkness that spawns a form of anti-life. In Savagespace, life is what anti-life feeds on.”
The discovery of unrealspace led the races of the galaxy to leave the cradles of the worlds of their births behind. Via this parallel dimension to realspace, faster-than-light travel opened countless planets, moons, and solar systems, as well as connected dozens of races over more than six thousand years.
Over the millennia, waves of new races found their way to the galaxy at large, sometimes peacefully, sometimes with conflict. Agreements were struck to equalize measures of time, currency, and even common language between races, governments, and ideological institutions spanning multiple races.
Despite discovering unrealspace, and naming their familiar dimension realspace, the peoples of the galaxy were largely unfamiliar with additional dimensions. Most were unaware of their sometimes subtle, sometimes vast differences to the two familiar dimensions of space/time.
One of those other dimensions is nothing but a rumor, a whispered name found only in the most obscure, ancient texts, largely unknown: Savagespace. This rumored dimension outside of known space/time is a place of terror, fear, and worst of all, death dealt by anti-life forces.
For millennia, the rumor of savagespace and its horrors was discounted, disregarded, and relegated to legend and myth. The denizens of realspace would portal to unrealspace to cross surreal distances in a reasonable time, shorter period than otherwise possible. Yet, some postulated that there had to be another, better, faster means to that end.

Folding space/time
Scientists among the elves, humans, drow, orcs, goblins, halflings, dwarves, and countless other races have sought to unlock this secret. Considered something of a “holy grail” for faster-than-light travel, whoever possessed that technology could cross thousands of light years of distance nearly instantaneously, rather than over days, weeks, and longer traveling in unrealspace.
Despite millennia of investigation, research, and experimentation, all have failed. Like the mythology of the quest for the holy grail, many would seek endlessly to unlock the technological wonder of folding space/time.
Some argued that having this ability would come with a cost. What that cost would be, however, none could voice. Like savagespace, the notion of successfully folding space/time has been relegated to superstition and legend. Both savagespace and folding space/time have been impossible dreams, never to be realized.
Until now…
Savagespace
The human race left their solar system more than three thousand years ago. With that first portal to the faster-than-light dimension of unrealspace, they met other races, all of which were oddly familiar.
Elves, dwarves, drow goblins, and others were already traversing extrasolar space. Joining them, it wasn’t long before humans colonized many worlds across diverse solar systems.
True to human nature, humans were more likely to fight among themselves and their artificial divisions than against other races. Yet they managed to overcome much of that and become one of the most established and confident spacefarers on the known galaxy.
Unquenchable curiosity would lead some of the brightest minds ever produced by the human race to crack the code and unlock the secret to instantaneous travel across unimaginable distances. Yet humanity lacked a key resource to make the hypothetical real.
Another race, however, had that resource: The drow. Bringing their minds and resources together, they would change the course of the known galaxy forever, but not in the way they intended.
On the verge of this incredible discovery, our story begins.
